Pre-Hooktail Pit
Pre-Hooktail Pit is a Pit of 100 Trials challenge in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. In this run, the player attempts to complete the Pit of 100 Trials before ever fighting Hooktail, the boss of Chapter 1.

Tips & Tricks
- Upgrade Goombella over Koops. Goombella's Multibonk offers a great source of damage over the +1 damage to Koops' Shell Toss & Power Shell. This is especially useful in the 90s and for Bonetail.
- Make sure you buy Super Appeal, Power Jump, and Piercing Blow. These will make your run through the Pit much easier with Mario and Super Appeal covers for a full Dull Bones audience against Bonetail.
- Sell badges you don't think you're going to use. It's a great way to make some quick cash. As an example, Attack FX R is an easy 50 coins!
- Buy a few Fright Masks from the Rogueport Central shop to help deal with nasty loadouts, especially if you're in a bad position.
- It's important to note that these cannot be bought for a PHP in the Remake!
- Recommend Dazzle Badges: Quick Change, Power Plus, Power Plus P, Flower Finder, Heart Finder, Item Hog. Try out different combinations and see what works for you!
