Bio

Kappy is a top-level challenge runner for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (both versions) and Paper Mario. He's arguably the best overall challenge runner of all time in those games, having completed multiple very difficult challenges in both and pushed the boundaries for what was possible in TTYD Pit challenge running, being the first to complete both 10 HP No Mega Rush P Pre-Hooktail Pit AND 10 HP Prologue Pit. He's well-known for his superguarding expertise, ad-hoc decision making, and game knowledge, and has an insane clutch factor when pushed against a wall, which has earned him "first try" clears on many difficult challenges that would normally take multiple attempts. He's been consulted for playtesting & balance decisions on multiple difficulty hacks like Paper Mario Master Quest, Black Pit, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Infinite Pit, Tower of Trials, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Hero Mode, offering a top challenge runner's perspective. Aside from challenge running, Kappy enjoys playing many other games, with RPGs and Roguelikes being his current favorite genres. He likes being good at games he enjoys playing often; in fact, he used to compete in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Project M, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, and Pokemon's VGC During Gen 5/6! In his free time, he likes to dance, solve puzzles, watch anime, and spend time with his wife, daughter, and dog.
