Impossible Mode Pit
Impossible Mode Pit is considered to be the hardest challenge run that Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has to offer. It takes the rules from regular Impossible Mode and applies them to a gauntlet of grueling consecutive battles that will test the player's skill, resilience and luck.
Due to the insane amount of luck required to defeat Bonetail, the challenge is considered complete once Floor 99 is cleared; similar to how regular Impossible Mode ends after defeating Grodus and Bowser in Chapter 8.

Rules
- Only upgrade Badge Points upon leveling up.
- Do not equip badges.
*Peekaboo and any badges that require 0 BP may be equipped if desired.
- Do not rank up any of Mario's partners.
- Do not use Items.
- Do not use Special Moves.
- Do not swap partners during battle.
- Do not use Merlee.
- Only Superguard.
- Do not retry battles (Switch).

Tips & Tricks
- Due to the sheer amount of trials that you have to go through, it's strongly advised to learn the Superguard timing of all enemies in the Pit, as the main form of healing will come from HP drops, FP drops, and leveling up. This playlist includes videos about some of TTYD's most difficult Superguards.
- Running is a very powerful tactic in this challenge. It can be used to force advantageous RNG, stage hazards that lower the required number of superguards in a fight, and BINGOs to heal the player via BINGO buffering.
